Fractional EOS Integrator
For Visionary owners who are carrying the Integrator seat as well as their own.
The problem
You started your company because you're passionate about your craft: winning the job, sitting across from a client, walking the site, being the reason they chose you over three other bids. Whatever it is, you know when you are in it. Those are the good weeks.
Then there is the other job. Running each week on track to achieve the long-term goal, holding people accountable to what they said they would do, translating your long-term vision into achievable weekly and quarterly goals. It is a full job, it is a different skill, and in most owner-led businesses nobody holds it. So the owner does, on top of his own.
EOS, the Entrepreneurial Operating System described in Gino Wickman's book Traction, has names for these two jobs. The first is the Visionary. The second is the Integrator.
Most of the owners we meet are Visionaries who have been carrying the Integrator seat as well.
Even if you choose not to formally run on EOS, we find that Visionary founders thrive with an operationally-oriented partner.
The solution
Three ways the Integrator seat gets filled
Advisory Integrator
For a Visionary with a small team and no leadership team yet. A weekly working session to bring order and sequence to the ideas, decide what actually gets worked on, and hold you accountable to executing it.
We facilitate the weekly Level 10, own Rocks alongside your team, and participate with your Implementer at quarterlies and annuals. The operating rhythm runs whether or not you are in the room.
Fractional Integrator
Interim Integrator
Your Integrator is leaving, or has left. We step into the seat, keep the business running, and either hand it back to your next full-time hire or run the search and onboard them.
Structure
Engagements are structured by the day, from a half day up to two days a week.
We are not one person. A fractional Integrator engagement can include a fractional Chief of Staff to expand execution capacity, and access to our go-to subject matter expert partners in HR, finance, and marketing.
Your Week
What it looks like week to week
A ninety minute Level 10 meeting with your leadership team.
An hour with you.
A quarterly planning session.
Everything else is our seat, not yours.
Every engagement starts with a measured baseline of where your week is actually going, so the change is something we can both see.
What this has looked like
How Artful Concern helped Kraus Hi-Tech define the right seat for its next stage of growth, empower the team, and onboard the right person.
It's very hard when you're in it. You know you've got a problem, but you're not sure if the people you're trying to have as your problem solvers are part of the problem.

What it looks like week to week
An Implementer teaches the system, runs the quarterly and annual sessions, and hands the weekly meeting to the Integrator. We have successfully partnered with EOS Implementers who recognize their clients need a fractional Integrator.
